MRS. SARAH COLBERT
[probably should be Mrs. Jane Colbert]
Mrs. Sarah Colbert aged 82, relict of the late David Colbert, passed away at the Old Colbert homestead corner of Silver and Cherry street, early Tuesday morning. She has been suffering with an attack of la grippe and this together with her advanced years brought on the end which was wholly not unexpected but at the same time quite sudden. She is survived by a sister and three children, who together with a hose of friends mourn the loss of the pure Godly lady. Funeral services will be held Friday. Stephen Colbert died
this morning at 2 o'clock, aged about 60 years. He had been a great sufferer
for years from asthma, and on many occasions death seemed to be hovering
so near that it was not expected by his family and friends that he could
possibly live from one hour to another. He was a tailor by trade, but for
serveral months his health was such that he could not work. He was a brother
of D. T. Colbert and leaves a wife and one son. The funeral
has not been announced yet.
