Mrs. Mary E. Bowker, formerly of Lebanon, passed away December 21 at the home of her cousin, Mrs. Pearl Askew, at College Hill, Cincinnati. Mrs. Bowker had been living with her cousin for the past three years. Previously to this time she had resided in Lebanon.
Short services were held at the home of Mrs. Askew. The remains were then brought to Lebanon where short services were held in the cemetery chapel at 2 o’clock Saturday. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Van Gilder of the East Baptist church of which Mrs. Bowker was a member since joining on October 9, 1868. She was the last member of the David Simonton family. Her husband, Frederick Bowker, and one son preceding her in death. Mrs. Bowker was engaged in the millinery business in Lebanon for a number of years.
