Edna Mae (Minge) Adkins (1914-1947) FRANKLIN VICTIMS CONTINUE SERIOUS Mrs. Edna Adkins of Franklin and her 10 year-old son, Paul, were still in serious condition today at Middletown Hospital, as police throughout southwestern Ohio and Kentucky continued a search for a paroled Negro slayer who started a "one-man crime wave" in this vicinity over the weekend. Middletown Hospital Attendants said this morning that Mrs. Adkins and her son are in critical condition as a result of brutal beatings administered by the parolee on Sunday night after he kidnapped them on the River Rd., north of Middletown. Mrs. Adkins, her clothes torn from her body, and her son were thrown from the car on Oxford State Rd.
