HYMENIAL.
Married--By the Rev. John W.
McReynolds, on Thursday the 12th inst.
--Mr. Dennis Van Vleet, one of
the Editors of "The Watchman," to
Miss Elizabeth Hinkson, both of this Village.
--N.B. The 'tother Ed. feels a most exquisite
titillation--as is his wont on such blessed emergen-
cies as the present--to render, himself as jolly as
may be at the expense of the beatific pair,--But
his aforesaid male associate--and wo is me! he has
none of the other gender!--importunes so beseech-
ingly, "Oh, Parker don't"--that he feels constrain-
ed to
"Leave him alone in his glory."
The vicissitudes of fortune, however, none can tell,
and these afford no little incentive to forbear--not
knowing how soon he himself will have need as the
Preachers say: "to use the language of the Psalm-
ist" and exclaim:
"That mercy I to others show
Like mercy show to me."
