PEACH TREE CREEK VETS
GATHER HERE Fourteen veteran of the battle of Peach Tree Creek gathered at the home of Judge Willard J. Wright here Monday for their annual reunion, commemorating the sixty-first anniversary of the Civil War battle in which they took part. Their ranks are much thinned and each year finds the group of veterans smaller and smaller. The guests began arriving at about 10 o’clock Monday morning. Dinner was served on the lawn at noon. On account of rain the gathering adjourned to the home where the program was furnished. A quartet composed of Carey Griffith, Will R. Lewis, Ed. S. Conklin and Ethan Crane rendered some of the stirring old songs of the war days. Informal talks and recollections were the order of the afternoon. All the veterans present added to the fest of reminiscences. An invitation by Henry Mull to meet at his home next year was accepted. Those present were: O. S. Higgins, 78, Ben Mull, 85, James Molloy, 81, H. H. Dunham, 85, J. H. McKinney, 79, F. M. Hamilton, 79, John Bartel, 79, Henry Mull, 89, W. H. Dakin, 83, C. E. Custis, 84, J. F.
