Bennie Underhill, whose very dangerous illness we noted last week, is somewhat better and strong hopes are now entertained of his recovery. Mrs. Halleck, who has been spending the winter in Florida, was called to Lebanon, lately on account of the serious illness of her mother, Mrs. Osborn. Mrs. Robert G. Corwin is still in Cincinnati. Her daughter, Mrs. Dr. Pauley has been quite sick with an attack of jaundice, but we are glad to learn that she is improving. Rev. George H. Dart, the presiding elder of this district and formerly pastor of the M. E. church of this place, has purchased a handsome residence in Hamilton for $7000. The Cincinnati Presbytery will meet in Lebanon next Monday evening in the PResbyterian church. It has been some years since it met in Lebanon and will receive a warm welcome hear again. Mrs. Carrie S. Burns left Lebanon on Tuesday to join her husband, Lieut. Burns, at Cheyenne, Colorado. Miss Ella Clayton accompanied Mrs. Burns and will make a visit of some weeks. William Fogarty, of near Monroe, recently made an assignment to Judge Dechant, of this place in the Butler County probate court. The assets, estimated at $2000, will not cover the liabilities. Mr. Ed McCurdy, who was for many years a popular salesman at A. Keever's, has opened a grocery in the building formerly occupied by T. Stow & Co., corner of Mulberry and Mechanic streets where he will surely meet the patronage he deserves.
