HATHAWAY REUNION The Hathaway family held its eighth annual reunion at the beautiful country home of Mr. Sam Davis, Thursday, August 15, with a very large attendance. The day was an ideal one and our host and hostess had left nothing undone for the comfort and enjoyment of their guests. The sons and daughter of the Davis family deserve special mention for the many courtesies shown to old and young during the day. Games and amusements were provided for all who cared to indulge in them. The tables were spread upon the spacious lawn and were heavily laden with good things to eat. Rev. Kestle, of Lebanon, was present and asked all to join in singing the Blessing, which indeed was a pretty little ceremony. After dinner the usual good programme was rendered, followed by the election of officers for 1913, which resulted as follows: Pres. A. B. Sides, Vice Pres. Walter Davis, Treas. Mrs. Sam Davis, Sec. Mrs. Harley Wills. So many invitations were extended to the reunion for next year that it was some time before a place was finally decided upon, but we are pleased to say that we will be entertained at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Crane, the third Thursday of August 1913. A delicious treat of ice cream and cake concluded the programme of a
well spent day. Source: "Hathaway Reunion,"
