This Indenture made the twenty sixth day of day [sic] of January
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighteen between William
Heaton of Warren County in the state of Ohio of the one part and Abram Van
Vleet
and Jacob Short of the County and State aforesaid of the Second part -
Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in Consideration of the Sum
of one hundred and five dollars Current money to him in hand paid the Receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged hath Granted bargained Sold and Conveyed and
by these presents doth Grant bargain Sell and Convey unto the Said party of the
Second part his heirs and assigns forever, all that lot or parcel of land lying and
being in the Town of Lebanon in Said County being a part of an Inlot known
and designated on the plan of Said town by number two hundred and twenty
one is as Recorded on the Records of Said County and bounded as follows -
to wit, Beginning fifty Six feet and Six inches from the Northwest Corner
of Said lot thence Running twenty one feet East thence South five poles, thence
west twenty one feet thence North five poles to the beginning Containing
Eighteen hundred and thirty two and a half Square feet - Together with
all and Singular the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or
in any wise appertaining and all Rents Issues and profits thereof, To have
and to hold Said premises hereby bargained and Sold or meant or intended
So to be with the appurtenances to the only proper use and benefit of the Said
party of the Second part his heirs and assigns forever, and the Said party of
the first part for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth Coven-
ant and agree to and with the Said party of the Second part his heirs and
assigns that he is the true and lawful owner of the premises hereby bargained
and Sold and hath good Right full power and lawful authority to Sell and
Convey the Same in manner and form aforesaid, and will Warrant and forever defend the
Said premises hereby Conveyed with the appurtenances and every part and parcel thereunto
belonging to the Said party of the Second part their heirs and assigns forever against all and every
person or persons lawfully or equitably Claiming or to Claim the whole or any part
Thereof. In Testimony whereof the Said party of the first part together with Rachel his wife who
Hereby Relinquishes her Right of dower in and to the Said premises have hereunto Set their
Hands and Seals the day and year first above written

State of Ohio Warren County ss. On the twenty Sixth day of January in the year of our
Lord eighteen hundred and eighteen personally appeared before me the Subscriber a Justice
of the peace in and for Said County the above named William Heaton and Rachel his
wife and the said William acknowledged that he did Voluntarily Sign and Seal and
as his act and deed deliver the Said deed of Conveyance for the purposes therein me-
ntioned: and the said Rachel being by me examined Separate and apart from her
husband and made known to the full Contents of the Said deed acknowledged and
declared that She did Voluntarily and of her own free will and accord Seal and
as her act and deed deliver the Said deed without any Coercion or Cumpulsion
of her husband. Given under my hand and Seal the day and Year above written.
