This is an old, inactive cemetery originally established as a graveyard for the first Baptist church in Warren County that was once located at this site. There were 231 known burials in the cemetery dating from 1800 (Phebe Kelsey) to 1984 with all but four of them occurring before 1900.  There are 10 known veterans buried in the cemetery including 5 from the Revolutionary War, 3 from the War of 1812 and 2 from the Civil War. See list below.

The last known burials in the cemetery were of Charlotte Hoffman (1980) & her husband Otto Hoffman (1979) who had lived in the house adjacent to the cemetery and of Anna H. Troeger in 1984.
The cemetery is maintained by Clearcreek Township.
