" William was born on December 15, 1822 near Ridgeville, Warren County, Ohio. He was a son of Sylvanus (1791-1879) and Sarah Jane (Florer) (1798-1848) Cornell. His brother-in-law was David Hartsock also buried in Miami Cemetery with his wife and William's sister, Sarah Jane (Cornell) Hartsock.

Lydia Oglesbee was born on June 8, 1828 in Port William, Clinton County, Ohio. She was a daughter of Eli (1806-1870) and Rebecca (Mann) (1807-1831) Oglesbee."
