Lot Card
Lots 181 & 182
Monument base - perhaps for one of the following who were also interred in lot 181

  • Hetty Lowe, wife of Abram D. Lowe, Interment #261 in Lot 181-2 on 16 Dec 1856

6-7 April 2010 Jay G. Lamb contributes the lot card and writes,
per the cemetery records:
Hetty Lowe; late residence: near Lebanon, OH; b 1 Sept. 1771 NJ; d 14 Dec. 1856; age 85yrs 3mo 13da; bur 16 Dec. 1856; died of old age; wife of Abm D. Lowe; Lot 181; undertaker, D. P. Tichener; Lebanon Cemetery Interment 261
Hetty was a daughter of David Johnes and Deborah Phillips of Hunterdon Co., NJ.
Comparison of the pictures taken in Feb. 1968 and those of more recent times show that the headstones have really weathered.

I am a descendant of Abraham D. Lowe and enjoyed seeing his gravestone and that of Chas J. Lowe on Lot 181. The broader picture shows Lot 182 and the gravestone of Joseph Q. Lamb, my ancestor and a son-in-law of Abraham D. Lowe. Joseph's stone at one time had a dove at the top of the marker but it was missing the last time that I was there. That is sad.
