JOHN F. MARSH, farmer, P. O., Maineville, was born in Cincinnati in 1818, and is a son of Isaac Marsh, a native of New York, who settled in Cincinnati in 1812, where he followed plastering till 1833, when he purchased 100 acres of land, |

on which our subject lives, and where he lived, and died, in 1869, aged 88 years. Mary, his wife, died in 1861, aged 77 years. They were parents of eleven children, of whom two are living in this county, viz., William and our subject. Mr. Marsh served a short time in the War of 1812. The boyhood of our subject was spent in Cincinnati, and came to the farm with his parents in 1833, where he has since lived. Nov. 28, 1852, he was married to Harriet Ludlum, daughter of Thomas Ludlum, by whom he has had eight children, seven living, viz., William, Frank, Anna, James, Charles, John and Lillie. Albert deceased. He owns 120 acres of land. |
