This township is the only one in the county which has become extinct. It was established June 28, 1806, and was chiefly in the northern part of that portion of the county afterward attached to Clinton. The following were the boundaries: Beginning at the northeast corner of the county, thence west with the north boundary to Caesar's Creek, thence down said creek, with the meanders thereof, so far that a line running from said creek south 37 degrees east will strike the northeast corner of survey No. 1,507, and to continue on the same course so far that a due east and west line will strike the dividing line between Warren and Highland Counties ten miles south of the northeast corner of Warren County, thence north with said line to the beginning.
