CHURCH WEDDING
Impressive Ceremony Marks Marriage of Young Couple – Groom Formerly of Van Wert
The appended account of the marriage of L. H. Leist, formerly of Van Wert, son of Forest Leist, formerly recorder of Van Wert county, and wife and a nephew of John E. Gamble of South Walnut street is from the Tampa Florida Sunday Tribune:  Miss Florine Evans became the bride of Lester H. Leist last evening in a ceremony at the Seminole Heights Methodist Church.  The nuptial vows were pronounced by the paster, the Rev. R. L. Allen.  Palms banked the chancel with baskets of summer blooms in pastel shades arranged in a semi-circle at its entrance.  Preceding the ceremony, a program of nuptial music was rendered with Mrs. George Hayman at the organ and vocal numbers were given by Miss Antoinette [illegible], Miss Ruby Easton and Mrs. Leah Gamble.  The bride’s wedding dress was georgette in an ashes of roses shade.  The skirt was trimmed with three deep ruffles in tiered effect and the tight bodice had a rope collar.  Her hat was a picture model of pale coral pink banded with velvet ribbon to match her frock and her flowers were pink sweetheart roses worn in corsage.  The bride’s only attendant was Miss Mabel McSwain, who wore a pale coral organdie frock with a full hopped skirt which was short in front and floor length in back.  Her hat was also a picture model of pink banded with velvet ribbon to match her frock and she wore a shoulder corsage of pink Russell roses.  Mr. Leist’s best man was James Gibble.  The ushers were Miss Ola Mae Whittington, Miss Thelma Swindell and Miss Ruby Easton.  All wore period frocks of pale pink organelle, the full skirts being trimmed with tiny ruffles their entire lengths.  Pastel shaded French flowers were worn at the shoulder of each usher’s frock  Little Miss Delores Smith in a dainty lace frock scattered rose petals in the path of the bride from an arm basket tied with pink tulle.  Master Johnny Morris, who was ring bearer, wore a suit of all white.  Immediately after the ceremony Mr. And Mrs. Leist left by motor for a short wedding trip to points in the state and upon their return will make their home in Tampa.  Mrs. Leist is the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. F. J. Evans, 101 West North street.  She was born and reared in Atlanta, but had made her home in Tampa for the last two years and attended Hillsborough high school.  Mr. Leist has lived in Tamps about five years, coming originally from Van Wert, Ohio.  He is connected with the Tampa Electric Company. **************************************************************
