HOAGLIN CENTER

Miss Zelma Harter and Burtran Crates were quietly married last Thursday, June 28, at 11:45 o’clock by Rev. A. F. Randolph at the United Brethren parsonage in Middle Point.  In the evening a pot luck supper and miscellaneous shower was held at the home of Mrs. M. S. Robey, in their house, from which they received many useful and beautiful gifts.  The number that gathered for the supper and shower were 115.  Mr. And Mrs. Crates have gone to housekeeping in their newly furnished home in Fort Wayne, where Mr. Crates is employed.  May happiness and prosperity be theirs throughout their married life.

MENDON

Mr. And Mrs. J. W. Roebuck announced the marriage of their daughter, Miss Marie, to Fred Roebuck after keeping it secret for three years.  Both are graduates of Mendon High school.  Mr. Roebuck is also a graduate of Ohio University.  They will make their home in Cincinnati.

Mary, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. P. W. Fishbaugh was united in marriage to Paul Miniman of Sidney.  They gave a private church wedding in the M.E. Church Saturday afternoon.

MIDDLE POINT


A farewell party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Lewis. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. John Lewis and son of St. Marys, Mr. and Mrs. Loy Lewis and son, Cecil of Delphos, Mrs. Glen Priddy, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Pollock and children and Mr. and Mrs. Rad Emery and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Eversole. Mr. Lewis and family moved to Dale, Indiana Wednesday.

OHIO CITY

Mrs. Charles Mangold is suffering from infection of the hand.

MENDON

Dr. Jesse Miller was found death in his home Wednesday morning. It is thought he died some time Monday night as he was last seen alive Monday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Philip Mutersbaugh announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Mabel, to David Boroff. They were married July 1 at the Church of God parsonage in Ohio City.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. I. Shank a four pound baby girl Sunday morning. She has been named Edith Laverle.

Forest, 11 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Santa, died at his home Monday evening. Funeral at Mendon. burial at Neptune.

Mrs. Lucy Miller has been called to Spencerville on account of the serious sickness of her father., Highly Allen. Mr. Allen's sister, Mrs. Allie Tomlinson of Mendon is also seriously ill.
