ARABELLE BARROWS

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Garrison attended the funeral of her grandmother, Mrs. Corwin Barrows, which was held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday at the Murray funeral home in Greenfield. Burial was made in Chillicothe. Mr. Garrison was a pallbearer. Mrs. Arabelle Barrows, 85, died at her home in Greenfield at 9:45 am Saturday after an extended illness. She was born April 14, 1868, the daughter of Fisher and and Isabelle Norris Smith. Her husband, Corwin Barrows, survives with two sons, Howard of Chillicothe, and Henry of Greenfield; a daughter, Mrs. Walter Belford of Greenfield; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Cain Jones of Greenfield and a brother, Edwin Smith of Highland.

CARIE BARROWS

Ill a year, Mrs. Carie Ann Barrows, 56, wife of Howard Barrows, died at 10:50 a.m. Monday at her residence, 21 East Eighth street. She was born here on Feb 8, 1889, the daughter of Albert and Caroline Schofield Watson, and was married on Dec 28, 1907. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran church. Surviving are the husband; a son, Harold Bucyrus; four daughters, Mrs. Paul Norviel and Mrs. Earl Martin, both of this city; Miriam Barrows and Mrs. Harold Garrison, both at home; three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Recobs, Akron; Mrs. Charles McFerrin and Mrs. Morris McKenndy, both of this city, and four grandchildren. Arrangements are being completed by the Whitsel funeral home.

CORWIN BARROWS

Corwin Barrows of Greenfield died at his residence at 9:15 Saturday. He was born October 17, 1860 in Athens County, the son of William and Hulda Barrows Barrows. His wife, Arabelle Smith, preceeded him in death. Two sons also preceeded him. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Walter Belford of Greenfield, a brother, Leslie Barrows of Frost, and a sister, Mrs. Eva Frost of Frost; 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 pm, Tuesday, at the Murphy Funeral Home with the Rev. James Shady officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Chillicothe, Ohio.

HENRY BARROWS

Henry Barrows, 63, of 602 N. 5th St. Greenfield died at 3:20 p.m. Sat. in Greenfield Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Athens County on Noveber 28, 1892, a son of Corwin and Arabella Smith Barrows. His wife, the former Mable Howser, died Oct. 1947. Survivors are his father, Corwin Barrows, and a sister, Mrs. Walter Belford, ofGreenfield, with whom he resided after moving from Chillicothe about 4 years ago. Mr. Barrows was a Veteran of WWI, and was a member of the Walnut Street Methodist Church in Chillicothe. He formerly was a pressman at the Chillcothe News Advistiser, and was associated with Mutchlers Pharmacy in Chillicothe for several years. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Murray Funeral Home, Greenfield. Friends may call at the funeral home. Graveside service will be held in Greenlawn Cemetery, Chillicothe, at 11:30, Tuesday. The Rev. James Shady will officiate.

HOWARD BARROWS

Howard Barrows, 68, retired Mead Corporation employee, died at his home, 422 Arch Street at 12:50 p.m. Friday. Mr. Barrows had been a machine tender at the corporation for 38 years. He was born in Athens County on Nov 3, 1886, a son of Adelbert and Arbell Smith Barrows. His wife, Carrie Watson Barrows, died in 1945. Survivors include his father, of Greenfield, three daughters, Mrs. Earl Martin of Chillicothe, Mrs. Harold Garrison of Clarksburg, and a son, Harold, of Chillicothe; a sister, Mrs. Walter Belford of Greenfield; a brother, Henry, of Greenfield; and 10 grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Viola Norviel, predeceased him. Mr. Barrows was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church. Service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Root Funeral Home, and burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call the funeral home after 1 p.m. Sunday.

Final rites for Howard Barrows, 422 Arch St., were held Monday afternoon at the Root Funeral Home, with the Rev. Thomas Taylor officiating, and burial was in Greenlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers were Orval Maul, John Maul, Ed DePue, John Weidauer, Elmer Curry and Herman Trainer.
