MARTIN SNYDER

 

Martin Luther Snyder, 82, died at 1:45 p.m. on 18 Jul 1967, at the residence of his daughter, Mildred L. Davis, 365 East Second Street, Chillicothe. He was born on 22 Feb 1886 in Pike County to Frederick and Ida Goff Snyder. His wife, the former Daisy Anna Hamilton, died on 09 Feb 1958 at Chillicothe.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Ruth Kaltenbach, of Chillicothe; a son, Walter; four sisters, Mrs. Lyle (Trecy) Amos of South Charleston, Mrs. Rosa West of McArthur, Mrs. Harry (Flossie) Page, and Mrs. Raymond (Scioto) Jones, of Chillicothe; four brothers, Willie Snyder of Kingston, Walter and Charles Snyder of Chillicothe, and Harry Snyder of Springfield; 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Snyder retired in 1956 from the beater room at the Chillicothe Paper Company after 25 years of service.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Heiby Memorial Home, with Reverend Herbert Caldwell officiating, and burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may calla t the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday.

Martin retired in 1956 from the beater room at the Chillicothe Paper Company after 25 years of service.
