FARMERS' PICNIC AND THE PARRETT REUNION IN AUGUST

The annual farmers' picnic is to be held at the D. W. Parrett's grove on August 15 and the indications are that this year the attendance will be larger than ever. This big picnic which resembles in many respects a county fair, is becoming more popular every year and thousands attend.

Mr. Parrett, who was in the city today, said that arrangements are now being perfected for the event and that handsome prizes will again be distributed. The grove is in fine condition several improvements having been made since last year.

The following week on Thursday, August 22, the annual Parrett reunion will be held. At the reunion last year, which was held at the same place, nearly two hundred people attended, and this year it is expected that many more will come.
