Instructions for Submitting Your Family Group Sheets

If you do not have a genealogy software program follow these instructions for submitting your Family Group Sheets. If you have a genealogy software program (i.e.; FamilyTree Maker) see instruction for Submitting your Genealogy Report below.

 

 

The sample below is made for a family of 5 children. To simplify listing the Family Group Sheets and preventing duplication, the charts will be listed under the *husband's* surname.

I hope that you will also submit a separate chart on the mother's family. NOTE: If the mother's father is unknown, please list ONLY the surname in the "husband's" block.

If there is more than one spouse, please submit a Family Group Sheet for each.

Please DO NOT send attachments. They will be deleted. Thank you!


COPY AND PASTE the following chart into an
email ([email protected]) and fill in the blanks.
Put all SURNAMES in capital letters.
DO NOT include LIVING PERSONS on these charts
Add any additional information in the area left for "notes".
I strongly encourage everyone to quote their sources in the notes area!

Instructions for Submitting Your Genealogy Reports

 

A Genealogy report is a detailed listing of family information that is presented in a narrative format like a book. Included are the basic facts about each family member as well as the biographical information you've entered in your Family File.  Most Genealogy Software creates three different types of Genealogy reports.  To submit your report please use the:

Register Report option (Descendant Ordered) — The Register format is a descendant-ordered format; it presents information about your family starting with an ancestor and moving forward in time to that individual's descendants. The Register format is the format which is accepted by the New England Historic Genealogical Society, one of the oldest genealogical societies in the country. The Register format dates back to 1870 and is used to establish "pedigree."

Do to limited space, please DO NOT include "Individual Notes".

Put all SURNAMES in capital letters.

DO NOT include LIVING PERSONS on these charts.

Source information is recommended by not required.

Save your report in Text Format.  Open your report, COPY AND PASTE  it in the body of your e-mail and send it to [email protected].  Include you full name and email address with your submission.

DO NOT SEND it as an Attachment, as it will be deleted. Thank you.
