I am interest in the CURTIS Family of Portage County,
Charlestown Township. Does anyone have a family chart on Charles
CURTIS, or H.P CURTISS, or Harris CURTIS? I know that Charles had a
son Henry; but, did he have other sons?
Can you verify the birth of HIRAM BURKHOLDER b. 28 Jan 1838 in
Portage Co., OH I need further verification of parents names: JOSEPH
BURKHOLDER, b. Abt. 1783 in PA ELIZABETH MILLER BURKHOLDER, b. Abt.
1794 in PA I REALLY NEED TO FIND THE ANCESTORS OF JOSEPH AND
ELIZABETH IN PA. AND BIRTH DATES AND PLACE. I don't know how long
the family lived there, but I have them in Whitley Co., Indiana in
1860. Hiram married Martha Esther Brock in Whitley Co., Indiana and
then after having several children, he moved to Darke Co., Ohio
(Abt. 1875) where my grandmother was born in 1882. Hiram died in
Darke Co., Ohio 26 July 1930.

Iam looking for any info on Samuel R. GRIBBY. All I know so far
is that he married Hattie HAIR on Oct 17/1878 in Mahoning, Oh. He

Searching for info on the family of Maurice SULLIVAN who came to
the US with his mother Mary (died November 13, 1892) and his sister
Ellen on the Judah-Fuoro in 1848. Maurice married Mary HURLEY who
was born in MA around 1848. Some associated names that appeared on
census and such are Mary McGEE and Alice MALONEY. Maurice died
around 1892 and Mary died around 1928. They had children William,
Maurice Jr.,Robert, Paul, Raymond and Clara. Raymond and Clara died

Thomas J. Heighton - looking for ancestors. He was born abt 1847
in Edinburgh Twsp. and if I have the correct Thomas Heighton he died
Jan 24 1905 in Ravenna. He married Vietta Hoover Bef 1885. They had
a daughter Iva Mae Heighton.
John Adam Knapp - looking for ancestors info. He was born
1801/1802 in Germany and settled in Randolph, Portage Co. He married
Elizabeth Andes, also born in Germany so I assume they were married
in Germany. John died May 14, 1885 in Randolph. They had a daughter
Elizabeth in 1832 and several other children. Any info on John or
his wife would be helpful.
Samuel Parker - Allen Parker looking for ancestor info. Samuel
was born May 5, 1856 in unknown on death cert. His father is listed
as Allen Parker born in Va., mother unknown. Samuel died May 5, 1929

I am looking for information on my gggg gf and family while they
lived in Portage County, OH. They moved to Portage Cty in 1831 from
Canton, St Lawrence, NY and moved to Armada, Macomb, MI sometime
between birth of last son in 1834 and Barnabas' death in 1844 in
Armada. His name is Barnabas BALLOU md. to Rachel BOWEN, both b.
Richmond, Cheshire, NH. They had two children in Portage County,
Edwin b. 10 Feb 1832 and Andrew (2nd son named Andrew) b. 1834.
There is also a chance that two of their children may have died in
Portage. William b 1823 d. young and Andrew (#1) b. 1828. If anyone
has any info on these people I would love to hear from you.
