Joseph Underwood
Funeral services for Joseph Underwood of Lucasville, who died while enroute to his home, after a heart attack suffered at Logan, were conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Lucasville United Brethren Church, with Rev. Thomas Johnson of Covington, Ky., and Rev. D. H. Bennington of Lucasville church officiating.
Burial followed in the Lucasville Cemetery. The deceased had three sons surviving, all members of the armed forces, and several Pike county relatives.
Notes here: Joseph Underwood was born 4 Jan 1873 in Bedford Co, Va according to his death certificate and died 27 August 1943
in Scioto Co Ohio of acute coronary occlusion. His parents were William B Underwood (b. Va) and Ann Pickel (b. Va).
He married Amy Alice. He was a railway engineer. Amy Underwood was the informant.
