Velma I. (Stir) Cremeens

CREMEENS, Velma Irene (Stir) 83, died unexpectedly at St. Vincent Hospital, in Worcester, MA, July 10, 2012.

Velma was born in Beaver, OHIO, April 6, 1929 to Roscoe and LouVerna (Thompson) Stir.

                                               She graduated from Stockdale High School, where she was the Valedictorian of her class, and received a full scholarship to Capital University, Columbus, Ohio; but as many in her generation did, she went to work instead.

Velma met and married her husband, Brant, and they began their family.
She loved working in her flowers; more than anything she enjoyed spending time with her family.

                                             She leaves behind her husband of 63 years, Louie "Brant" Cremeens; her daughter, Pam (Daryl) Bowman, South Vienna, Ohio; son,
 Fr. Timothy (Tammy) Cremeens, Phd. of Dudley, MA; grandchildren, Chad (Elizabeth) Bowman of Columbus, Ohio, Natalie Bowman of South Vienna,
Ohio, Gabriel, Zoe, and  Magdalena Cremeens of Dudley, MA; sisters, Betty (Richard) Rodgers, Ruby (Jim) Comer, Janie (the late Lloyd) Goheen;
 and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and LouVerna (Thompson) Stir; her sister, Mary Sheridan; and niece, Debbie Rodgers.

Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 PM. in the RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME, Springfield, Ohio and for one hour prior to
 services in the church.
The service to honor Velma's life will be Tuesday at 10:00 AM. in her church, Mechanicsburg (Ohio) Christian Fellowship with Pastor Lyndon Good officiating.
Burial to follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
