Mrs. Carrie Morgan
Mrs. Carrie Morgan, 85, a native of Pike County who has resided in Royal Oak, Michigan, for the past thirty-seven years, died Sunday at her home there.
She was born in this county in 1862, a daughter of Benjamin and Julia Masters Violet. Her husband the late Henry Morgan, preceded her in death thirty-seven years ago.
Surviving are six daughters: Mrs. W. H. Schrader, Sr of Waverly, Mrs. F. H.Stanwood, Mrs. Matilda Wells, Mrs D. W. Isenbarger, Mrs. Thelma Harrer and Mrs. Stacey Fultz, all of Detroit, Michigan; a son, B. Violet Morgan, also of Detroit, and the following local grandchildren: Miss Avanelle Schrader, Dr. A. M. Schrader and William H. Schrader, Jr. of Waverly.
Funeral services were held in Royal Oaks, Michigan, Tuesday at 8 p.m., and the body was brought to Waverly where graveside services were held at 2 p.m, Wednesday, at Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. George Smith of Circleville officiating.
Burial followed here under the direction of Harold A. Eagon of the Gregg Funeral Home.
