Mordicia Blazer

     Piketon--Mordicia (Mark) E. Blazer, 82, a widely known blacksmith, died at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday at his residence near Jasper following an illness of several years.
      Born in Vinton County July 4, 1874, he was the son of Mordicia H. and Abba Eckleberry Blazer. His first wife, Alta Baker Blazer, died Sept. 23, 1930. Surviving are his wife, Jennie, at home; a son. Marion G. Blazer, London; and a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Deacon and stepdaughter, Mrs. Winn Farmer of Piketon Route 2 ; two stepsons, John Brewster, Piketon Route 2, and William Brewster of Jasper, and two grandchildren.
     Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the resdience with the Rev. Elmer Moore officiating. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery under the direction fo the Howe Company Funeral Home. Friends may call at the residence until time for the service.
     Note: The obituary had a misprint. It actually said he was born in 1974. I corrected that here. We know that is wrong. In an article about his wife Alta's death, it calls him Mort Blazer. Mordicia E Blazer d. 3 Apr 1957 Pike Co Oh (Jasper)
