Jennie Sprouse Ellington

      Jennie Sprouse Ellington, the subject of this sketch was born October 17, 1867 near Waverly, Ohio and departed this life Saturday, Novenber 18th, 1916 at the City Hospital, Newark, Ohio in her forty-ninth year.
     She was married in 1884 to J. J. Ellington to which union was born three children, George and Irene living at home and Mrs. William Kendall of New Castle, Ind.
     In her girlhood days she united with the Pleasant Hill church and attended there for several years. At the time of her death, she was not affiliated with any church, but she was living a good, pure life, always willing and ready to do anything she could for the sick and afflicted. In her home life she was a patient and loving wife and mother. She will be sadly missed and mourned for although her later years have been a continuous round of sickness she has never ceased to love and minister to her dear ones.
     She leaves to mourn their loss, a husband and three children, two brothers, Harley of Waverly and Jacob of Newark and one sister, Mrs. Nell Manley of Chillicothe; besides a host of other relatives and friends.
     Her remains were brought to Waverly, Tuesday, November, 21, 1916 where she was laid to rest in Evergreen cemetery. She will be mourned but not forgotten.
