Margaret Rodel
Miss Margaret Rodel, 76, a native Pike Countian died at 8:30 p.m. Sunday in Athens.
Born in Pike County in the Robbins Station neighborhood on February 15, 1878, the daughter of William and Julia Ann Rogers Rodel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Carrie and two brothers, Charles and Oscar.
Twenty-seven years ago she and her brother, Oscar moved to Portsmouth and resided for many years at 1232 18th Street in that city.
Miss Rodel was a member of the Bigelow Methodist church in Portsmouth.
Surviving are a nephew, Roland Rodel of LaCross, Wisc., and an aunt, Mrs. Joseph Beauchamp of Piketon.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Beaver Chapel Methodist Church with Rev. Frank Harding officiating. Burial followed in Beaver Chapel Church under the direction of the Davis-Hammerstein Company of Beaver.
