Cora Belle Maloy , daughter of Elijah and Rebecca Mickel, was born near this place September 25, 1868, and passed most of her life in this vicinity.
, daughter of Elijah and Rebecca Mickel, was born near this place September 25, 1868, and passed most of her life in this vicinity. She was united in marriage to William Maloy March 22, 1893, and to this union five children were born, Elijah, Hazel, Walter, Goldie and Bonidine. Some eighteen years ago, she united with the Christian church, afterward removing her membership to the Methodist church of this place, of which she has been a faithful and earnest member.
The passing of a loved one into the eternity of the future covers our hearts and our lives with sorrow: and yet when we consider that she who is gone was a faithful Christian woman, we can rest our troubles on Him who has said, "He will not fail us nor forsake us." And know that our dear one awaits us in the blessed country beyond the grave where Jesus reigns supreme.
