Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday for Charles C. James , 78, of Vine Street, Waverly, who died October 31, [1986] at Ross County Medical Center.
, 78, of Vine Street, Waverly, who died October 31, [1986] at Ross County Medical Center. James was born Mary 7, 1908 in Pike County to William Franklin and Clara Stultz James. His wife, who died February 7, 1976, was the former Ruth Maxine Cartwright, whom he married October 18, 1944.
He was a retired manager of the former Waverly Stiffler Store and was a member of the Waverly Church of Christ in Christian Union.
Survivors include a son, the Rev. Franklin James of Grove City; six daughters, Mrs. Dan (Vicki) Shaver and Mrs. Mike (Emily) Gardner both of Waverly, Mrs. William (Charlene) Henderson and Mrs. Tom (Carol) Young, both of Chillicothe, Mrs. Jim (Gina) Wolford of Waverly and Miss Barbara James of Columbus; 14 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. R. W. (Mabel) Schwardt of Waverly.
The Rev. Lonnie Potts officiated the ceremony held at the Waverly Church of Christ in Christian Union. Arrangements were made through Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly. Interment was in Waverly Evergreen Cemetery.
