FRESHOUR, Goldie M. - A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday for Mrs. Goldie Mildred Freshour, 92, of 108 W. Third Street, Waverly, at the Grace united Methodist Church her, with Rev. Doug Shriner officiating, where she was a member.No calling hours, or visition will be observed at the Botkins Funeral Home, in charge of all arrangements.
Interment will follow in Waverly Evergreen Cemetery, at the convenience of the family.
Mrs. Freshour died at 3 p.m. Friday, August 10, 1979 in Shawnee Springs Nursing Home, in Winchester, Virginia, following an extended illness.
A native of Pike County, she was born on May 8, 1887 in the Idaho community, a daughter of John D. and Ellen Walls Roberts.
In 1907, she married James Orville Freshour, deceased.
She was a retired school teacher, having taught schools in Kansas, Wyoming, and Pike County, with 40 years of service.
Her only survivors are one son, Col. Beryl H. Freshour, of 2626 N. Ohio Street, Arlington, Virginia; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by one brother, the late Forrest Roberts and one sister, Mary Lightle.
