Zimmerman, Sr. Harry E

- Funeral services for Harry E. Zimmerman, Sr. , 88, of 424 Main Street, Piketon will be held today (Thursday) at 1 p.m. at the Howe-Wheeler-Boyer Funeral Home, Piketon, with Rev. Conavon Humble officiating.

Mr. Zimmerman died at 5:46 a.m. Tuesday at Pike Community Hospital.

Born October 8, 1897 in Pike County, he was the son of Thomas and Maggie Brigner Zimmerman.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ramsey Zimmerman, in 1974; his parents, and two daughters.

He is survived by his wife, Lula Zimmerman; three sons, Clarence Zimmerman, Harry E. Zimmerman, Jr., and Howard Zimmerman, all of Piketon; one daughter, Mrs. Floyd (Pauline) Newton of Piketon; 18 grandchildrfen and seven great grandchildren.

Also surviving is one brother, Welty Zimmerman of Springfield; ant two sisters, Mrs. Milburn (Leona) Conley, of Beaver; and Mrs. Hazel Havens of Piketon.

Mr. Zimmerman was a retired construction laborer, and attended the Piketon United Methodist Church.

Following the service, burial will be made in Mound Cemetery.
