Armstrong, Mrs. Lulu

ARMSTRONG, Mrs. Lulu B  -  91, of 206 Bridge Street, Waverly, died at 10 p.m. Saturday in the Pike County Hospital, following an extended illness.
     Mrs. Armstrong was a retired Pike County school teacher, serving for 33 years before retirement, and was a member of the Morgantown Church of Christ in Christian Union.
     a native of Ross County, she was born on June 22, 1881, near Morgantown, a daughter of Hiram Asbury and Mary Ann (Coder) Bosworth.
     On March 6, 1909 she married Roscoe Armstrong, who died on March 16, 1959.
    Surviving are one son, Charles M. Armstrong of Route 32, Waverly; three grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Blanche Acton of Greenfield.
    Mrs. Armstrong was preceded in death by three brothers, and two sisters, in addition to her husband.
    Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Botkins Funeral Home in Waverly, with Rev. Lewis W. Viar officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mt. Latham Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Her favorite charity was the Pike County Cancer Society.
