Willis, Victor A
Victor Augustus Willis , son of Cyrus and Sarah Catherine Waller Willis, was born in Jackson County, Ohio on October 17, 1873 and died at his home in Beaver on June 3, 1961 at the age of 87 years 7 months and 17 days. On August 23, 1901 he married Emma Riley and to this union were born four daughters: Bernice, Beatrice, Gladys, and Dolly Mae who preceeded him in death. Mr. Willis remarried in 1947 to Mrs. Pearl Wiget. He was survived by his second wife and two daughters: Mrs. Cecil Reisinger and Mrs. Scott Brown. He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and changed his membership to the Beaver E. U. B. recently. He came to Beaver in 1912 as a business associate of Leist - Davis Hardware and Furniture Company. In 1926 he and Jacob Stoll bought and operated the hardware division of the company. He retired in 1953. After retirement he worked and fished on his farm in Jackson County.
