Edward Scott

Edward Scott, 85, a retired Pike County farmer, died at 10:25 pm Saturday ( 4 Sept. 1948) at the home of a son Eugene, of Omega. He had been ill since Wednesday.

Mr. Scott was a native of Pike County, born here on Mar. 4th, 1863, the son of Frank and Sarah Scott.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Ann Scott, and two sons, Eugene and Floyd, all of Omega; a daughter, Mrs. Golden McCollum of Portsmouth;a brother, Oscar Scott of Washington C. H.; and 5 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 pm Tuesday, at the residence in Omega with Rev. Charles Bulen of Omega officiating.

Burial followed in the Omega Cemetery under the direction of the A. H. Boyer Funeral Home.
