  • [A3?] Water Works Plat of Norwood, Hamilton County, Ohio, 1895, revised Dec. 1907 - 61"x52" with cloth backing, scale: 1 in. = 200 feet. Except for some creases and a few small cracks at the folds (it was twice-folded into 4 sections), the document is in good condition.

This map shows the water mains, fire plugs and tap-ins for the entire Village of Norwood. The legend indicates 12-inch, 8-inch, 6-inch and 4-inch pipes, with fire plugs and valves of different sizes to correspond with that of the connecting pipe. Each platted lot is drawn out with the lot number as assigned for the corresponding subdivisions, which were not identified. All streets and railroads are drawn, as are most large unsubdivided properties and the Duck Creek. Changes to the mains are marked as 1907 revisions, but the limited number of tap-ins appear to be just for 1895. The following note is included on the map:

"All pipe lines are laid on north & west sides of streets & 10 feet from curb except on Montgomery ave, Highland ave, which is 10 feet from south curb, Ivanhoe ave from Wayland to Montgomery ave, which is 10 feet from east curb & Elm ave, from Allison to Section ave is 10 feet from south curb, Harris ave from Pump House to Montgomery ave, is 12½ feet south of north curb."
