NORWOOD ANNEXATION NO. 4, 1895


Norwood's fourth annexation was in 1895. Village Ordinance No. 808 accepted for annexation some adjacent territory. The Ordinance was passed by Council on November 18, 1895. It was signed by David Davis, Mayor and President of Council, and W. E. Wichgar, Clerk.


"Description of Property Accepted for
Annexation by Ordinance No. 808"

"Beginning at the corner of Hudson and Regent Avenues; thence running south along the Norwood corporation line in Regent Avenue to the right of way of the C. P. & C. R. R.; thence east along said right of way to the Norwood corporation line in Elsmere Avenue; thence north with the said corporation line of the Village of Norwood to Hudson Avenue; thence west with the corporation line of the Village of Norwood to the place of beginning."

It was published by Order of Council "to include ordinances of general nature up to and including the meeting of September 18, 1899." The book was published under the direction of William R. Collins, Solicitor of Norwood, and published by W. H. Anderson & Co., Law Book Publishers, Cincinnati.

Note
Some sources give dates of January 29, 1894, (referring to the Margaret McGee Estate and Ordinance No. 645) and June 3, 1895 (Ordinance No. 761). Perhaps these three ordinances refer to the same or related annexation.
