Interesting Facts
The Norwood Electric streetcar from Eden Park ran along the east side of this subdivision. It began regular runs about a month before this subdivision's creation on July 1st, 1891, the day after the first car made a trial trip. On July 4th, there was a grand celebration in Norwood for Independence Day and the completion of the electric railway, which had 10,000 paying customers that day. In August, a Cincinnati Enquirer reporter declared it "the longest five-cent street-car line that the world knows of."

Interesting Facts
The Washburn Circus was scheduled to play at an unknown site in Norwood on April 23, 1895, the same month this subdivision was created. This may have been the first circus to perform in Norwood.

Judge Street and this part of Washington and Sherman (a.k.a Bennett) Avenues were removed as part of urban redevelopment. Sherman Avenue west of Montgomery Road was extended east to connect Montgomery and Smith Roads.
