The Norwood Transfer Company.

The company was listed in the 1919 directory with office and automobile garage at Madison Avenue and Montgomery Road (currently the parking lot in front of today's Kroger store) and a storage warehouse at Madison Avenue and the now removed C.L.&N. Railroad tracks (either behind Kroger or at the recently built strip addition). Based on an advertisement, which included the above photograph of a Norwood Transfer truck, the company was in operation in 1928. However, state records show that The Norwood Transfer Company was incorporated in the State of Ohio on February 10, 1947. Either the business operated for around 30 years without incorporation, or these are two different businesses with the same name. The incorporation was canceled on March 16, 1959. Another Norwood business had a similiar name — Norwood Transfer and Storage. This company was in operation at least in the year 1954. The two businesses may have been related.
