The business originally named The City Ice Delivery Company, Plant No. 27, had an ice manufacturing plant and furniture warehouse at Judge and Washington Avenues (ca. 1917) — today, at Sherman Avenue's northern entrance to Surrey Square. The name was later changed to The City Ice & Fuel Company. During that period it was an ice and coal supplier as well as a moving and storage operation (verified for 1928, 1930, 1942 and 1954). There were several business locations; the main office was at 3220 Jefferson, Cincinnati. The Norwood Office was located at Washington & Judge, Norwood. The Norwood sub-stations were at:
  • Lawn & Globe
  • 4032 (s.e.c.) Williams & Forest
  • Hopkins & Carter
  • Norwood & Linden
  • Carter & Sherman
  • Worth & Rolston
  • Leslie & Forest
