MCDOWELL, STUDEBAKER, TEETERS posted by Charlene Kolterman on Sunday, January 11, 1998

Need more information on TEETERS buried in the Green Mound Cemetery, in Recovery Twp., near Fort Recovery, Ohio. They are listed in the Cemetery Inscriptions Volume VII, as:
    TEETERS, David Dec 19, 1878 78-11-8
    TEETERS, Anna w/o David Nov 5, 1872 63-9-13
I assume that the date given is the date of death? And that the numbers following are the ages they were on the day they died? Does anyone have further information on this David and Anna? I believe they are the David and Ann TEETERS that I am searching for in Jay County, Indiana. They appear in the Jay County, IN, census in 1850 and 1860. Possibly moved over to Mercer County? My David and Ann had 12 children, 6 boys and 6 girls.
Two of the children married to MCDOWELL siblings: #11 child Henry TEETERS married to Rachel L. MCDOWELL and the #12 child Harriet TEETERS married to James Knox Polk MCDOWELL, their son Samuel MCDOWELL and Mary STUDEBAKER who are buried in the Old Pioneer Cemetery in Fort Recovery.
