Buckwheat and Little Girls

 

Buckwheat is not a wheat but rather a plant with beechnut shaped seeds used for making a dark flour.  Here Hazel (Jones) Barker (on the left) and  Gladys (Jones) Lytton were photographed in their father’s buckwheat patch.
