Map to Location

Copied from Lorain County's out-of-print publication, Cemetery Inscriptions of Lorain County, Ohio 1980 by volunteer Margaret Cheney, 2001.

Located on the east side of Columbia West River Road, a short distance north of Route 82, this oldest Lorain County Cemetery was laid out in 1811 to accommodate 9 deaths from the ague. The site is the cabin clearing of Bela Bronson overlooking Rocky River Valley. Many pioneers from Waterbury, Connecticut, five Revolutionary War Veterans and many members of the militia for the War of 1812 are buried here. For further information contact the cemetery clerk, PO Box 819, Columbia Station, OH 44028, phone 440-236-8802.

Due to the size of this cemetery, it has been broken down into several pages. These pages are not alphabetical in order. If you would like to use the search engine on the entry page, it might help you find the person you are looking for easier.
