"Family history" says that Joseph KIRKER was b. in 1844-45 in Jefferson
County, OH but so far I am unable to find any evidence of this. His
parents
were John and Sydney? KIRKER.
In April 1865, he was in Jackson County, WV for his marriage to Filena
RAND
of that County.
He died in Mason County, WV on January 11, 1907, and is buried there.
Joseph and Filena's children are: Cline, Jessie, Carrie Alice, Laura Mae,
Margaret R., Birdie, Henry F., Joseph Edward, and Tommy. Cline and Jessie
both d. in PA earl in life.
Apparently this family moved around quite alot...Jefferson Co., OH-Jackson
Co., WV-PA-Mason Co., WV. Joe and Filena's son Joseph Edward moved with
his
own family to Delaware in 1938.
I would love to find any documentation of this KIRKER family in Jefferson
County...birth, marriage, death records, census records...ANYTHING!
Thanks so much for any information.

I have been requested to assist in the research
on John Milton GOODENOW. He appears on the 1820 Federal Census as the "Head
Of Family" Pg.76, Jefferson County, Steubenville, and was born between
1775-1794,written pg.505,printed pg.258.When and were he died is unknown to
me. I do have a record that mentions him as having passed away by 1852. He
was prominent in Masonic Affaires up to 1834, then nothing until a tribute
in 1852. This distinguished Mason was very innovative and was the First
Grand Master form this part of Ohio. An Award in his name is given every
year to a person demonstrating great service to the community and/or the
fraternity in Jefferson, Columbiana,or Mahonning Counties.Any help will be
greatly appreciated
