Seeking parents and birth place of Thomas WILSON of Mt. Pleasant Twp., Jefferson County, OH. Early Tax Records of Jeff. Co., OH list two Thomas WILSONS. The 1830C Mt. Pleasant Twp., Jeff.Co., OH list a Thomas b. 1760/1770 (whose land records and Hinshaw Quaker Records list wife, Hannah), and another Thomas b. 1780/1790 (whose Short Creek Quaker records list wife, Mary). Seeking my other blacksheep, George W. BRASHEAR b. 1813 Steubenville, Jeff. Co., OH (s/o Joseph and Rebecca VEIRS BRASHEAR). He appears in the 1840C Wellsburg, Brooke Co., VA/WV, but not in the 1850C with his wife Mary Elizabeth _____ and five children; Brice, Rebecca, Mary Elizabeth, Agnes, and Morris. Is he the George Washington BRASHEAR, tanner, who appears in the 1850C Brownsville, Fayette Co., PA with a new wife and four children; all born after the Brooke Co., VA/WV brood and "following in his father's footsteps"? And is there a divorce record for the first marriage? Contact Julia A. Krutilla

Seeking my blacksheep, Joseph M. BRASHEAR b. 177_/178_ who married in 1801 in Jeff. Co., OH Rebecca VEIRS. Joseph's last appearance in Steubenville, Jeff. Joseph and Rebecca's known eight children of ten are, Basil, Diana, Brice, Thomas, George W., Mary Ann, Intrepid Morse, and Melvina. KIRKPATRICK, PORTER posted by Michael Sievers on Wednesday, November 5, 1997

Thomas A. KIRKPATRICK m. Rachel PORTER 8 Feb 1842 in Jefferson Co., OH. There were many KIRKPATRICK'S listed in the marraige records along with the Ohio Land and Tax records for Jefferson Co. I am looking for any information on Thomas and Rachel, Thomas' father came from Ireland and his mother looks like Switzerland according to the 1880 Census in Kansas. Rachels parents are from Maryland. This line of KIRKPATRICK'S were brickburners-brickmakers. Their first three children were born in OH, Sarah 1842, Matthew 1844, Margaret 1845, the two younger children James 1847 and Elizabeth 1849 both bork in W. VA. They moved on to Johnson Co., KS where they started a brickmaking business. Thomas and Rachel both died in Kansas along with James who is my ggrandfather. Does any one know anything about this line of KIRKPATRICK'S? Also anything about the brickmaking/brickburming in this area in the early 1800's. Thank you in advance for any help
