FAHAY, HICKS, TRUSHEL, TRUSHELL posted by Tina Hicks on Monday, February 3, 1997

TRUSHELL / TRUSHEL Looking for info on JOHN TRUSHELL who was probably born in Harrison Co. circa 1834-7; parents are probably Peter Trushell and Sarah Jane Shepper/Sheppherd who also had connections to land & family in Carroll Co. OH. On 2 Oct 1862 in Harrison Co., JOHN TRUSHEL married Nancy Rose Anderson (b. Brook Co. WV) and had at least 4 children: Peter Trushell, b. circa 1863; Ila V. (or Ellen) Trushell, b. circa 1864; Elizabeth Jane "Lizzie", b. 26 Jul 1866 (married JOHN HICKS in Steubenville in 1885); and Jonathan Trushell, b. 4 Aug 1868. It is believed that young Peter died as a young man, and Jonathan died as a baby in about 1868-69. JOHN TRUSHELL died in abt. 1869 by drowning in/near Scio, Harrison Co. but cannot find any info on his death in Harrison or neighboring counties to date. His wife Nancy remarried a man named Thomas FAHAY in 1870 and moved to Steubenville where she had at least 6 more children. Especially interested in the birth, death & parentage of JOHN TRUSHELL. Thanks,

PATTERSON/BIER I am looking for information on Robert PATTERSON, who was born in Jefferson County in 1815. I am also looking for info on his parents, Robert PATTERSON, originally from Ireland, and Sarah VANMETER. My great grandfather John Arthur PATTERSON was the son of Robert PATTERSON and Jane WILSON. He married Maria Eustacis BIER, who was the daughter of William E. BIER, whom I believe was born in Jefferson County, also. His parents were Philip BIER II and Patience Elliott, both died in Wheeling, WV. I would appreciate any information I can get on these two families, the PATTERSONs and the BIERs. KECSKES, KESCKES posted by Gina Hinds on Monday, February 24, 1997

I live in California and am willing to do research for anyone that needs something. I am desperately searching for my grandmother, Margaret Marie KECSKES / KESCKES who was born in Adena, OH on 1/8/1908. I have contacted various places and because of the date no birth was on record before 12/1908. Therefore, I understand her parents were catholic so I am assuming she may have been baptized somewhere near Adena. I have searched the 1910 census but have found nothing. My great grandfather was a coal miner in Williamson County in the 1920's so I can only assume that he may have been involved in the coal industry. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
