Mary Watson

Burial was held today in Union Cemetery for Mrs. Mary Sherrard Hill Watson, 90, of Grosse Pointe Park, Mich., a former Steubenville resident.

Mrs. Watson, a founding member of the Steubenville chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, in St. Anne's Convalescent Home, Detroit, Mich.

She became a 50-year member of that chapter before transferring to the Fort Pontchartrain chapter, DAR of Highland Park, Mich. She attended the First Presbyterian Church in Detroit.

Surviving are a son, Robert Henderson Watson Jr. of Grosse Pointe Park, and a nephew, Wood R. Hill of Steubenville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Watson and her mother, Mrs. Mary Mears Hill Watson.
Funeral services were held in the Verheyden Funeral Home, Grosse Pointe Park, Wednesday.
