Mrs. Mary Tappan Mahon

Mrs. Mary Tappan Mahon, a resident of Steubenville most of her life and widow of George Trainer Mahon, died at her home at 1215 Stanton Blvd, Sunday at 10:40 p.m.
Born in Steubenville, Mrs. Mahon was the daughter of the late Dr. Benjamin and Nancy Lowther Tappan. She taught for many years in the public schools and was a member of St. Paul's Church.
She is survived by a son, George Tappan Mahon; three sisters, Isabella Tappan and Mrs. Helen T. Collins of Louisville, Ky., and Mrs. Margaret Thomas of Knoxville, Tenn., and two grandchildren. Two daughters, Mary Tappan Mahon and Lora Jane Tappan Mahon preceded her in death.
Friends will be received at the Shannon Funeral Home after 12 noon Tuesday. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
