FUNERAL TO BE SATURDAY MORNING




Mrs. E. E. McCauslen Sr. Succumbs at Age of 87




Mrs. Martha Huscroft McCauslen, 87, of McCauslen Manor, died at 3:10 a.m. today in her home. She had been seriously ill three days.


She was born Jan. 7, 1871, in East Springfield, the daughter of the late William G. and Martha Edgington Huscroft.


Mrs. McCauslen was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, St. Paul's Twig, Daughters of the American Revolution, Steubenville Woman's Club, Order of the Eastern Star Lodge No. 414, Social Order of Beauceant and American Legion Auxiliary.


Her husband, Edwin E. McCauslen Sr., preceded her in death July 13, 1951.


Mrs. McCauslen leaves two sons, Edwin E. (Ed) McCauslen Jr. of Steubenville and William T. (Bus) McCauslen of Toronto; three daughters, Mrs. Edwin O. Burgham, Mrs. Harry H. McFeely and Mrs. J. Crawford Fisher, all of Steubenville; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Three sons, Frank H. McCauslen, George W. McCauslen and Apraks B. McCauslen, preceded her in death.


Mrs. McCauslen was the last surviving member of her family. Two sisters, Miss Ada Huscroft and Mrs. Minnie McCune, and four brothers, Charles Huscroft, Chauncey Huscroft, William Huscroft and Frank Huscroft, preceded her in death.


Friends may call at the McClave Funeral Home from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.


Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in McClave Chapel. The Rev. Mr. George H. T. Cliff will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
