Mrs. Martha Cook

Mrs. Martha Helms Cook, 67, of 229 Lovers Lane, died at 4:45 p.m. Saturday in Ohio Valley Hosputal.

She was born March 2, 1892, in Steubenville, the daughter of William A. and Susan Markle Helms. She was married to Edward W. Cook, April 25, 1914, in Steubenville.

She was a member of the Calvary Methodist Church, the Circle One of the church and the Daughters of 1812.

She leaves two daughters, Mrs. George (Jane) McCasland of Albuquerque, N. M. and Mrs. Richard (Susan) Vaughan of Steubenville: two brothers, Lewis Helms of Los Angeles, Calif., and Markle Helms of North Hollywood Calif.; one sister, Miss Mary Helms of Pacific Palisades, Calif., and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 18, 1952.

Friends may call at the Elliott Funeral Home from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today. Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery.
