MRS. BLANCHE WOLFE DIES AT SMITHFIELD

Following several months illness, Mrs. Blanche Wolfe, 71, widow of William M. Wolfe, died of complications at 3 a.m. Sunday at her home in Smithfield. She was born near Bloomingdale, O., on March 31, 1868, the daughter of James M. and Nancy Gilkinson Simeral.
A resident of Smithfield since 1900, Mrs. Wolfe was active in the civic, social and religious work of the community. She was a member of the Smithfield Presbyterian Church, the Smithfield Woman's Club, Smithfield Grange, Daughters of American Revolution, the Ladie's Auxiliary, Sons of Union Veterans. SHe also was a member of the Smithfield Maids and Matrons Club.
She is survived by one son, William C. Wolfe of Athens, O., and one sister, Miss Grace Simeral at home. Her husband died nine years ago.
Mrs. Wolfe was a woman possessed with the finest traits of Christian character and was held in high esteem by all who had her acquaintance. Her death will be regretted by a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at the family home in Smithfield at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. Byron Fruit will officiate. Entombment will be made in Smithfield mausoleum. Friends are requested to omit flowers.
