Union Cemetery Located on Ohio SR 43 Phone:(740) 283-3384 1720 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville, Ohio 43952, Incorporated in 1854, this cemetery has extensive documentation of sites. They are computerized but not on-line. They are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In my opinion, they are extremely helpful. To obtain information, they ask that you send a letter. Include a full name and a date or year of death if possible. Enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Copies cost $0.50. If you enclose any money, they will return the unused portion. They also encourage personal visits to their sites. Historical Note: Fisherville was a settlement located at the lower end of the cemetery at the first entrance to the cemetery. Early in the centrury the entrance was moved to the upper end. There was a little settlement called Jacksonville at that entrance, both settlements were incorporated in the then growing Steubenville.
